Who We Are

Today

Geneva Software has been solving the IT problems faced by global organizations since our inception; problems such as low bandwidth and high latency, a need to standardize applications and forms, ineffective business processes or redundant workflow across organizational units. With motivated, experienced and well-trained staff using documented processes we’ve been solving these problems cost-effectively for our clients since our start.

Our business model allows us the flexibility to staff projects on an as needed basis and to share staff across projects. To our employees this means variety in task assignments and knowing that coworkers are knowledgeable in, not only needed skills, but also in how projects interrelate. For us as a business, this translates to our being able to cross-utilize our employees’ talents as well as providing our customers with products high in quality and effective in cost. As a certified small business with approximately 100 employees, we are selective in our staffing approach, we look for rounded individuals who can and do contribute on multiple levels. Our team is comprised of professionals who do what it takes to get the job done; IT Project Managers, Web Developers, Trainers, Documenters, Forms Designers, Quality Assurance, Technical Support Staff and Software Engineers.

We strongly encourage our employees to maintain a work-life balance. Everyone benefits when employees’ work and personal time are in balance. We support this though flexible working hours, corporate sponsored philanthropic events and continued training. Geneva Software takes a proactive approach to technical and professional training. Employees are encouraged and supported in their efforts to become certified in their profession, such as Project Management Professionals (PMP) and Microsoft Certified Software Professionals (MCSP). We believe this makes Geneva Software not only a great place to work but also a great partner to have.

Since our start, we have served our clients by addressing more than just software development. We provide complete solutions to complex business problems. Our unique combination of personalized approach, talent, and powerful technology helps Geneva Software exceed our clients’ expectations and foster our clients' and our own success.

Where we’ve been

In 1989, at the Lord Nelson pub in Geneva, Switzerland, two American software engineers discussed ways to create a corporate environment that placed equally high value on employees, customers, and end-results. They theorized that keeping all three sides of the resulting triangle balanced would result in a company with motivated, professional employees, an excellent reputation for delivering quality, and a steady growth of our customer base.

In 1990, those two software engineers founded Geneva Software, Inc. with the goal of building a computer services company with just that environment.

They succeeded.

Where we’re going

Geneva Software has steadily grown in size and experience every year. Unlike other companies, growth is not the primary concern, but is considered the result of maintaining the balance we set out with at the start. Steady growth is a natural by-product.

We intend to continue with the philosophy formulated in 1989 at the Lord Nelson Pub: quality drives our growth. The key is evolution, not revolution. We are working toward CMMI Level 3 to further define our processes and increase our effectiveness in the marketplace. We are developing beneficial relationships with new business partners. We continue to leverage our growth and experience to seek larger contracts with local, state, and the Federal Government. In addition, we plan to expand our commercial client base.

As we implement these strategies, and continue to evolve as a company, we will continue to rely on that which has brought us to this point: a balanced approach toward employees, customers, and end results.
